Why not try networking that's a little different this year? Join us at our Burns Night Chamber Meetup for networking with a twist, 5.30pm on January 2023.
Burns Night Celebrations not just for the Scots
Celebrating Robert Burns at the end of this month has long been a Scottish tradition, so we thought we'd get in on the act this year too for something a little different!
An unusual twist on networking, with a traditional Burns supper of haggis, neeps and tatties, or a Scotch pie if you're not brave enough for haggis, followed by cranachan - also known as the uncontested king of Scottish desserts!
There will also be the opportunity to join our whisky tasting, with four single malts on offer (plus a bonus Mystery Malt).
With Burns Night as an ice breaker, why not come along and say hello to other business people in the relaxed atmosphere of the Taw Restaurant at Petroc.

Single Malt Whisky Tasting
Highland Park - award winning single mail Scotch whisky shaped by the extraordinary contrasts of the Orkney Islands since 1798. The taste is of fallen organges, dollops of vanilla cream and smoky heather peat
Glen Keith - a smooth Speyside single malt Scotch whisky with orchard fruits and rich toffee notes
Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair - pronounced 'Stew-rah-dur' meaning 'helmsman' in Scots Gaelic. Unusually for an Islay single malt, Stiùireadair is unpeated, allowing the sweet coastal character of the island to shine through
Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold - an indulgent, honeyed whisky that is comforting, rich and sweet. With notes of heather and peat and a spicy warmth, this single male is from the highest and coldest distillery in Scotland
A bonus Mystery Malt! This will be a pot luck single malt to round out our whisky tasting

Did you know that Devon has it's own official tartan?
It does! Accredited by the Council of the Scottish Tartan Society and held on The Scottish Register of Tartans, the Devon tartan was officially recognised in 1990, with the certificate presented to the Mayor of Barnstaple in 1991 & now displayed in Barnstaple Guildhall.
Worn by the North Devon Pipes and Drums band since their formation in 1987, you can see the Devon Tartan, when the band play to this day, keeping the sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe alive here in the southwest.
